BRITISH STYLE QUICK LEAD
The Quick-Lead with British Style Slip-Lead at one end and a quick release trigger snap at the other is a tool used as follows:
1. The Quick-Lead was originally designed for young retrievers which are not "steady". This enables the handler to use the quick release trigger snap on the dog's collar and release with one hand while giving a line direction with the other. Of course, as the dog steadies, you can use the British Style Slip-Lead to bring the dog to the line.
2. You may also put the trigger snap around your belt and back on the main rope for a "hands free" lead to use to the blind.
3. Placing the trigger snap through the loop formed by the British Style Slip-Lead and around a post in the blind or a thwart on a boat enables the hunter to keep a dog steady and release after the bird has been marked and down.
